This is backed up by a fully equipped workshop with all the necessary specialist equipment and an extensive stock of spare parts for a vast range of both current and older physiotherapy and electrotherapy equipment. This enables us to offer the following range of services to you:

  • Service Maintenance Contracts

We offer maintenance contracts that include periodical maintenance visits to your site to undertake routine preventative maintenance, safety and performance testing and any necessary repairs. These are fully flexible, allowing for annual, half-yearly or quarterly planned visits, covering all aspects of physiotherapy, electrotherapy, rehabilitation and exercise equipment.

  • Workshop Service / Repair

If preferred, your equipment may be returned to our workshop facility in Billingshurst for routine service or breakdown repair. We undertake to provide a written quotation for all equipment prior to any work being carried out.

  • Field Service Repair

SKF Services has a team of trained field engineers who undertake both the planned routine maintenance visits and unscheduled (breakdown) maintenance / repair. They have fully equipped vehicles, carry all the necessary tools and test equipment together with an extensive stock of most commonly used spares and consumables.

At SKF we feel that routine servicing of physiotherapy and electrotherapy is a very important concern, which is backed up by manufacturers recommendations. In most cases the equipment manufacturer will specify that each instrument should be serviced at least once a year, more frequently for mechanical equipment that is used extensively. There are three major reasons for regular routine maintenance:

  • Safety

Is the equipment safe to use? Are you putting the safety of your patients at risk?

  • Efficiency

Is the equipment working correctly? Are you sure that you are administering the required treatment for your patient ?

  • Liability

Is your insurance valid? You may risk potential liability if you are using equipment that is not tested and serviced regularly.
